Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program 2017

The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program, also referred to as WU Scholars, is a program designed to support young people and their efforts to pursue
a post-secondary education.

Selected scholarship recipients will receive USD $2,500 each to contribute toward tuition or school fees at an accredited post-secondary institution and will be selected based on criteria relating to the program’s three pillars: Perseverance, Aspiration, and Community.

The Institute of International Education, Inc. (IIE), a US private not-for-profit leader in the international exchange of people and ideas, administers the program on behalf of the Western Union Foundation and its contributors.

Job Description 
  • Receives cheques on behalf of the company after ensuring that the vouchers and supporting documents are duly approved in line with the Synthesis of Delegated Authorities (DOA) and deposit same in the bank.
  • Processing of inter-ventures payments and group invoices.
  • Reprocessing of returned payments, working in concert with other sections in Finance to solve any problem associated with non-payment of vendors and ensuring that payment is reprocessed in good time.

OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) 2017

OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) is now accepting applications for its Young Professional Development Program.  The Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) is a structured 2-3 year program that has been designed to attract and develop young professionals from OFID’s Member Countries, and aims at equipping 
them with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the minimum requirements for OFID’s entry level professional positions.
The YPDP will allow participants to become acquainted with OFID’s operations and how the different departments/units contribute to the achievement of the institution’s overall strategic and operational goals. Based on an Individual Development Plan, YPDP participants should spend at least 50% of the duration of the Program in the home department/unit. Through this Program, participants will gain valuable on-the-job experience, and they will also benefit from a coaching/counselling arrangement as well as a wide range of relevant training and developmental opportunities.
Upon completion of the Program,  a participant may be offered employment  at OFID, based on job availability, OFID’s manpower needs and the outcomes of his/her performance appraisal reviews.
